Abner Nash was an American politician who served as the second governor of North Carolina from 1780 to 1781 and as a member of the Continental Congress from 1782 until his death.

Abner Nash read law and was admitted to the bar in Virginia.

Abner Nash began his political career there, serving in the House of Burgesses from 1761 to 1765 before moving to New Bern, North Carolina.

Abner Nash married the widow of former colonial governor Arthur Dobbs.
