Acero was born on August 4,1984 and is a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in their Mini-Estrella division.

Acero is Spanish for "Steel" and is a shortened version of his previous ring name Nino de Acero or "Boy of Steel".
Acero is a third-generation professional wrestler, his grandfather worked under the ring name Canario Amarillo and his father wrestled under the name Destello Azul and his brother is currently active as a professional wrestler as well, using the name El Juez, none of whom worked in the Mini-Estrella division.
Acero made his debut for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in the summer of 2008 under the ring name "Nino de Acero", Spanish for "Boy of Steel", the nickname of the Comic book hero Superboy.
Nino de Acero was placed in the first group of wrestlers hoping to qualify for the tournament final, but was eliminated in the Torneo cibernetico elimination match that took place on September 9,2009.
Acero competed in the 2009 Pequenos Reyes del Aire tournament, where he was the third man eliminated out of nine competitors in total.
Nino de Acero managed to climb out of the cage as the fifth overall escapee, ensuring that he did not have to risk his mask at the end of the match.
