Babagana Umara Zulum mni was born on 25 August 1969 and is a Nigerian professor and politician who has served as governor of Borno State since 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Babagana Zulum proceeded to the University of Ibadan from 1997 to 1998, where he obtained a master's degree in Agriculture Engineering.
