Walter Andrew "Bubby" Brister III was born on August 15,1962 and is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings.

Bubby Brister played college football for the Tulane Green Wave and Northeast Louisiana Indians before being selected in the third round of the 1986 NFL draft by the Steelers.
