Chibli Mallat was appointed in 2011 Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Visiting Professor of Islamic Legal Studies at Harvard Law School.

Chibli Mallat taught in Fall 2012 at Yale Law School as Visiting Professor of Law and Oscar M Ruebhausen Distinguished Senior Fellow.
