Hadi al-Bahra held the position of president of the SNC from 9 July 2014 to 4 January 2015 and again from 12 September 2023.
Hadi al-Bahra held the position of Executive Director of Erfan and Bagedo General Hospital in Jeddah from 1983 to 1989.
Hadi al-Bahra worked with the opposition inside Syria, contributing to the media, relief activities and the political side of the protests.
Hadi al-Bahra was then elected to be the general secretary of the political committee.
On July 9 2014, Hadi al-Bahra was elected as president in Istanbul, Turkey, with 62 votes, defeating his nearest rival Mouaffaq Nyrabia, who received 41 votes.
