Hasan Abidi was a Pakistani journalist, writer, political activist and an Urdu language poet.

Hasan Abidi was born on 7 July 1929 in Zafarabad, Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh, and educated in Azamgarh and Allahabad and after the partition of India in 1947, he moved to Pakistan and settled in Karachi in 1948 and associated himself with journalism and writing.

Hasan Abidi became president of the Karachi Press Club and held office in both the Karachi Union of Journalist and the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists.
