Ibrahim al-Hamdi was a Yemeni military officer who served as the third President of the Yemen Arab Republic from 13 June 1974 until his assassination on 11 October 1977.

Ibrahim al-Hamdi was born in Qattab, Ibb in southwestern Yemen.

Ibrahim al-Hamdi was promoted to become the Deputy Prime Minister for Internal Affairs, and then appointed the higher representative Commander of the Armed Forces.
