Ifeanyichukwu Arthur Okowa was born on 8 July 1959 and is a Nigerian doctor and politician who served as Governor of Delta State from May 2015 to May 2023.

Ifeanyi Okowa first established himself in local politics before entering the state cabinet of Governor James Ibori in 1999.

Ifeanyi Okowa was later re-elected by a similar margin in 2019.

Ifeanyi Okowa was born at Owa-Alero in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Ifeanyi Okowa attended Edo College, Benin City, then went on to the University of Ibadan where he studied Medicine and Surgery, graduating in 1981 with an MBBS degree.

Ifeanyi Okowa entered private practice as Director, Victory Medical Centre, Igbanke in 1986.

Ifeanyi Okowa was re-elected in a rerun where he scored 1,446 votes, against 108 votes for Marian Alli.

Ifeanyi Okowa finally clinched the ticket for the gubernatorial election in 2015 under the PDP with 406 votes on 8 December 2014.

Ifeanyi Okowa won the Delta State Gubernatorial elections 2015 in April 2015 with 724,680 votes and was inaugurated as Governor on 29 May 2015.
