Michael Uzoukwu Absalom Jude Ihiekwe was born on 20 November 1992 and is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for EFL Championship club Sheffield Wednesday.

Michael Ihiekwe soon joined the youth ranks of Wolverhampton Wanderers, with whom he signed a professional contract in 2011.

In May 2012, Michael Ihiekwe signed a contract extension after the club activated a one-year options.
