Mr Fuji was famous for often throwing salt in the eyes of fan favorite wrestlers.

Mr Fuji won his first championship, the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Championship, with King Curtis Iaukea on January 7,1966.

Mr Fuji shortened his ring name to Mr Fuji and toured many territories, including Don Owen's Portland, Oregon based NWA Pacific Northwest Wrestling where he won many championships.
