Phil Popham is a British Business man who has mainly been employed in the automotive industry.

Phil Popham had a long career at Jaguar Land Rover, and latterly was the chief executive officer of Lotus Cars.

Phil Popham has been CEO of Sunseeker during his career.

Phil Popham was born in 1965 in Redditch, Worcestershire, England, and graduated with a BSc in management studies from the University of Aston, Birmingham.

Phil Popham briefly joined Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in the UK in 1999 before returning to Land Rover to become UK Sales Director in 2001.

In 2006, following the departure of Matthew Taylor, Phil Popham was promoted to a board level role as Land Rover Global Managing Director where he was responsible for the sales and marketing operations of Land Rover globally.

Phil Popham held this role until 2010, when he became Global Sales and Service Operations Director, with responsibility for the global sales and after sales operations of both brands, overseeing the regional business units and worldwide dealer network.

In 2014, Phil Popham announced his intention to leave Jaguar Land Rover to become CEO of luxury boat manufacturer, Sunseeker.

Phil Popham joined Sunseeker in 2015, and sought to turnaround a business which had posted losses for 2014.

Phil Popham announced his intention to leave Sunseeker in 2018 to pursue other opportunities and in comments by owners Dalian Wanda made at the time, credited with leaving the business in a very healthy position and record order book.

In October 2018, Phil Popham returned to the automotive industry, and was appointed Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Group Lotus, and CEO of Lotus Cars.

Phil Popham developed and implemented Lotus Cars' Vision80 strategy which will see transformational change across the company including a complete transformation and unprecedented investment at Lotus' headquarters in Hethel, Norfolk including wholesale upgrades across the site, a new sports car factory and hypercar assembly.

Shortly after this announcement, Phil Popham announced his intention to step down as CEO in March 2021 to pursue personal projects.

Phil Popham is married with two children and lives in Warwickshire and supports West Bromwich Albion FC.
