Sadettin Tantan was born on 1 January 1941 and is the Turkish politician who is the founder and current leader of the Homeland Party since 2002.

Sadettin Tantan was a former member of the Motherland Party and served as the Minister of the Interior between 1999 and 2001 under the DSP-ANAP-MHP coalition led by Bulent Ecevit.

Sadettin Tantan received his master's degree from Bursa Institute of Business Administration and went to the United Kingdom to improve his foreign language skills.
