Sanan Kachornprasart was deputy prime minister in the cabinet of Abhisit Vejjajiva, and was chief advisor of Chartthaipattana Party.

Sanan Kachornprasart graduated from Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and United States Army Armor School, at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
