Mohamad Ibnu Sayuti, known as Sayuti Melik was an Indonesian typist.

Sayuti Melik helped type a copy of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence, which Sukarno proclaimed to Indonesia on 17 August 1945.

Sayuti Melik was the husband of Soerastri Karma Trimurti, a journalist and activist in the women's rights and Indonesian independence movements.

Sayuti Melik went to Ongko Loro School in the village of Srowolan, and after that continued his education in Yogyakarta.

Sayuti Melik's father had brought him up as a nationalist, a movement his father joined after the dutch government used his fields to grow tobacco on.

Sayuti Melik was arrested in 1926 for allegedly helping the Indonesian Communist Party, and subsequently exiled to Boven Digul from 1927 until 1933.
