Shaun McRae was born on 21 December 1959 and is a rugby league coach, who is a former director of rugby at Hull FC after a spell with the Salford City Reds.

Shaun McRae was later appointed head coach with St Helens in the Super League, where he won the Coach of the Year award in 1996.

Shaun McRae coached his team to victory in the 1996 Challenge Cup and Super League I championship.
