Subhasis Chaudhuri was born on 1 March 1963 and is an Indian electrical engineer, former director at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSE Limited.

Subhasis Chaudhuri, born on 1 March 1963 at Bahutali, a small village in Murshidabad district, West Bengal to Santa and Nihar Kumar Chaudhuri, earned his graduate degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1985.

Subhasis Chaudhuri returned to India the same year and started his career at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay as an assistant professor.
