Anil Grover was born on 15 August 1958 and is an Indian molecular biologist, professor and the head of the Department of Plant Molecular Biology at the University of Delhi.

Anil Grover, born on the Indian Independence Day of 1958 in the National Capital Region of Delhi to Shori Singh Grover-Krishna Grover couple, did his undergraduate and master's studies at the University of Delhi, earning the degrees of BSc and MSc in 1977 and 1979 respectively.
