Charles Upfold, Justice of the Peace, was an English soap manufacturer of great prominence in Australia.

When his first son, John, was born in 1865 at Morpeth, New South Wales, Charles Upfold was described as a soap-boiler, aged 27 years and born at Walworth, London, England.
