Oraz Jandosov's father Ali Jandosov was born on 1935 and was a historian while his mother Klavdiya Pishchulina was born on 1934 and was a historian-orientalist, candidate of historical sciences, and leading specialist in the history of medieval Kazakhstan.
Jandosov is the grandson of Oraz Jandosov who was a People's Commissar and was executed under Stalin.
