Staind is an American rock band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1995.

Staind has recorded seven studio albums: Tormented, Dysfunction, Break the Cycle, 14 Shades of Grey, Chapter V, The Illusion of Progress, and Staind .

Staind self-released their debut album, Tormented, in November 1996, citing Tool, Faith No More, and Pantera as their influences.
