1. The Kansas City Blues RFC made the decision of self-relegation from the Super League in 2007, one that has allowed the Club to re-tool in Division 1 and develop a program that has aspired to again reaching the National Championships.

2. In 2014, the Kansas City Blues RFC debuted their Sporting 7s Academy program which takes college aged players and places them in a special training program designed to increase their fitness, advance their rugby skills and improve their rugby acumen.

3. The Kansas City Blues RFC currently host one of the largest and most successful 7s programs in the country.

4. In November 2015 the Kansas City Blues RFC held "Rooftop Kansas City Blues RFC" fund raising event where the team camped out on top of the River of Refuge building and held a telethon until the club raised over $25,000 to help pay for a new roof on the entire building.

5. The Kansas City Blues RFC have worked extensively with The River of Refuge which helps homeless families with children get back on their feet.
